On the agenda: a multilingual show with a live pianist and improv exercises for students to try out, meet each other… in several languages, and truly connect!

During the show, inspired by the students, the performers created a multilingual musical titled “I Don’t Know” about what to do after university, fought the patriarchy in English and French, discovered the use of a widelec (fork in Polish) and the meaning of “guiri” in Spanish, did karaoke in an invented language, and even performed a western in Dutch!

Between these different scenes, the performers also led several improv theatre exercises with the students, right in the lecture hall, to spark connections among the newcomers: without leaving their seats, they invented multilingual stories in pairs or small groups, and even created dialogues in an invented language (“gibberish”).

A big thank you to the VUB team for their warm welcome, and to the students for their energy and inspiration during the show.
