On January 20, 2026, trainers from Atlas, impros du monde – Bruxelles, Laurie Andrieu and Dan Gelbard, led an improv theatre workshop at the Croix-Rouge Belliard Centre.
Around ten participants took part in the workshop, held on the upper floor of the centre, where they explored connection and listening games, improvisation exercises, mime, tableaux, storytelling, and photo-novel activities. The workshop was conducted in both French and English (with even a little bit of Spanish).
At Atlas impros du monde, we believe that theatrical improvisation is a powerful tool for stimulating creativity, encouraging self-expression, and developing listening skills. Through playful and collaborative exercises, participants are invited to take risks, trust the group, and rely on their own ideas. Gradually, laughter, sharing, and a spirit of kindness create a safe and supportive environment where connections naturally form between participants, strengthening both self-confidence and mutual trust.
The multilingual nature of the workshop made it possible to include all participants and allow them to choose the language in which they felt most comfortable. Ultimately, through gestures and laughter, understanding always finds a way.
